Why?
Summer school will help lessen the transition difficulties that some students with autism face. For six weeks throughout the summer, students with autism will attend the "summer camp" program to slowly transition from their previous school environment, into their new one!
Summer school will look similar to a typical school day with a few changes. There will be more time to engage in social activities outside as well as inside. Every student will follow the same visual schedule. They will be accompanied by a one-to-one who rotates daily. This will help students ability to work with more than one adult.
